Dramatic-performative poem,
book-album

adepth infusion marks the debut of its editorial activity by publishing the full version of the urban poem Ceilalți (The Others), by Dorota Masłowska, at Casa Cărții de Știință Publishing House .

The book-album includes graphic elements and pieces from the soundtrack of the production that inspired its first performance, Ceilalți / Inni Ludzie, a rap concert / multimedia performance.
The translation is by Ioana Diaconu-Mureșan, the foreword is by Iulia Popovici, the afterword is by Andrei Dinu, and the graphics are created by Raul Fozecaș.
“Ceilalți* is, first and foremost, a dramatic-performative poem about the urban maladies of the Eastern transition and the transformation of social relations into races of collective moral surveillance for an acceptable capitalist finish. It’s about the frustration that breeds hostility and the hostility that alienates. But it is equally an exploration from within of the limits and potential of language: do Kamil and Iwona still have control not only over their own lives, but at least over their ability to communicate? Or, somehow, is it language that controls them, that lives in them, independent of themselves, and can no longer serve as a means of understanding others? Has language, somehow, come to isolate groups and social classes, with different vocabularies, articulations, and meanings, and isolate the individual within their own social class because language is no longer anything but either aggression or non-communicative hypocrisy? To isolate him on the planet of Facebook comments, TikTok, and forums, where no one really communicates with anyone?”
