A nihilistic multimedia performance

SYNOPSIS

Nietzsche says it’s way past your bedtime is a multimedia performance that explores the philosophical trajectory of nihilism, from the existential crisis of the nineteenth century to our current technological condition, in a world that has lost meaning and learned how to function without it.
We no longer search for meaning. We produce it, consume it, and exhaust it.
We have replaced great questions with small reflexes. And if everything can be simulated, what, in fact, remains real?
Structured as a philosophical poem that moves from the “death of God” to technological hypnosis, the performance traces a path between body and screen, between will and system, between being and functioning, drawing on the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, Martin Heidegger and Nolen Gertz.
A performance like a collective insomnia.
A multimedia autopsy of an exhausted spirit.
“Nihilism stands at the door: where does this uncanniest of all guests come from?”
Friedrich Nietzsche
